Roy Moloney, CPA, CFE, is a highly adaptable and accomplished professional who formed Forge CPA in 2024 following the retirement of the legendary Jerry McHale. He has a broad range of real-world experience and skills in various fields, including entrepreneurship, accounting, real estate, property management, and construction. He has served as a court-appointed receiver and provided expert testimony in litigation matters. Roy brings an analytical mind and a practical approach to problem-solving. He is dedicated to bringing his wide-ranging skill set to effectively serve clients' needs. Roy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Florida, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker, Certified General Contractor (CGC), and Community Association Manager (CAM). Roy holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Taxation with a concentration in data analytics and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2025 and 2020, respectively. He holds a National Craft Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery from his native Ireland, where he also completed part of his college education in Economics, Politics, and Sociology at University College Dublin, as well as Construction Technology at the Dublin Institute of Technology. Roy is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), Southwest Florida Bankruptcy Professionals Association (SWFBPA), Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association (TBBBA), and the Lee and Collier County Bar Associations. Roy is also involved in civic activities, serving as secretary of the Southwest Florida Bankruptcy Professionals Association, consultant for the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, and former condominium board President. An avid rugby supporter, he is a former treasurer of the Naples Rugby Football Club and has coached rugby at high school level. Roy’s goal is to build Forge CPA’s reputation on the people-first values of honesty, integrity, and trust, championed by his mentor and friend Jerry McHale.
